Wave House San Diego closes down the "Wave-in-a-Box" in Mission Beach California. This new Flow Rider will be reconditioned and sent out to a new, unannounced location.

The World Finals and last event for 2000 of the Swatch Wave Tour took place in Dubai, on October 25-27th 2000. The best riders from San Diego, Munich, Bo/Norway and Florence make their way from past qualifiers to the
finals in the heat of the desert. Skateboarders Tony Hawk, Andy MacDonald along with Skimboarder Bill Bryan, from the US, and finally, Terje Haakonsen from Norway, face off at the Wave in the "Wild Wadi Water Park", located at
the Jumeirah Beach Resort in Dubai.

This jewel of the desert is an Arabian styled Aquapark that houses the Wave's huge 3.5 meter high water barrels. The waves are generated by large remote tanks that send water through underground culverts to the surface of
the Wave. This particular Wave, unlike the other Waves in Munich Florence and San Diego, is permanently fixed all year round.
Heavy Water wave tour took place September 8-10 at the Wave House in Mission Beach California. Three big days of Pro, amateur and celebrity riders in a 10 foot curl.
